New Bathroom Suites Add Considerable Value to House Prices

New Bathroom Suites Add Considerable Value to House Prices

(PRWEB) October 23, 2004

These are solid investments to add value to a property or, at the very least, are home improvements which cover their costs; a bathroom refit will add appreciable value to the price of a house (source: http://www.manchesteronline.co.uk/homesearch/advice/diy/s/55/55801_dont_knock_diyers.html), indicating that putting in a new kitchen or bathroom is always a safe and predictable way to spend money (source: http://www.prnewswire.co.uk/cgi/news/release?id=121557).

And a fitted designer bathroom need not be an expensive outlay.

Bournemouth’s leading discount bathroom specialists, Bathrooms Plus – http://www.bathrooms-plus.co.uk – offer substantial discounts on bathroom suites, fixtures and fittings with some special offers – http://www.bathrooms-plus.co.uk/special_offers.htm – representing exceptional value for money.

A long established business with the largest bathroom showrooms on the south coast, Bathrooms Plus supply all features of bathroom décor including complete suites, shower rooms, columns and enclosures, baths or multi-jet whirlpools – http://www.bathrooms-plus.co.uk/whirlpool_baths.htm – basins, radiators and heated ladders, mirrors, taps, lighting, stainless steel cabinets, tiles, flooring — all from stock.

Specialising in modern designer suites, Bathrooms Plus bring a clean elegance into your bathing space with over 140 integrated designs on display to suit all tastes and bathroom sizes. Many of these creations are the latest models from leading Italian, German and Austrian designers.

For all but an experienced designer with a clear understanding of spatial organisation, selecting and fitting a new bathroom can be a daunting task, especially when it may involve substantial modifications to existing plumbing and/or partitioning walls. One must also consider space constraints when incorporating a bedroom en suite or when enlarging an existing bathroom is not practicable and compact units – http://www.bathrooms-plus.co.uk/compact_bathroom_units.htm – are required. Engaging a designer may prove cost-prohibitive when factored into the renovation equation — which is where Bathrooms Plus offer even better value for money by providing a free design service.

Design considerations aside, the layman can fit tiles and towel or shower rails, perhaps cabinets or taps but more substantial renovation requires professional assistance. For those challenged by the task or, for reasons of time and effort, customers who simply wish to delegate installation to others, Bathrooms Plus work closely with a number of recommended installers to ensure the chosen suite it fitted cleanly, swiftly and professionally. Having been in the business for 30 years, they have a reputation for excellence to maintain and select only personally approved installers.

Increasing numbers of homeowners are looking not just to enhance the value of their property but recognise comfort and luxury are immediately within their grasp as an ever more competitive market and the opening of trade frontiers within the EU offer quality bathroom suites and accessories at affordable prices.

Whether undertaking a simple bathroom makeover or gutting and refitting a substantial property, Bathrooms Plus provide experience and guidance together with quality products and workmanship, ensuring the finished design matches the architectural vision.

Given today’s often hectic pace of life, a bathroom offers the perfect opportunity to escape into a personal place of contemplation and relaxation, a comfortable room where peace and tranquillity reign, where mind, body and spirit are rejuvenated and revitalised. Add a few drops of precious oils to a luxurious whirlpool bath or Jacuzzi and ease away the day’s tensions. Then add the therapeutic affects. Add the healing aerated waters, the buoyancy, the weightless, timeless moments immersed in a cocoon of warm water.

A bathroom is not simply another room, it is an invitation to recuperate and it should be afforded such respect.

A well-designed, modern bathroom is also a delight to clean. It presents a fresh and clean start. Countless households relegate the bathroom to functional necessity but give scant thought to the practicalities of cleansing the cleansing room. Change that.

A modern bathroom suite more than halves the time spent on cleaning. The surfaces are shaped and blended unobtrusively and turn a chore into a delight. And a place of necessity becomes a source of pride coupled with the joy and anticipation of use.

CCAR Receives Honor for S/P2 Online Training

CCAR Receives Honor for S/P2 Online Training

OVERLAND PARK, KS (PRWEB) August 11, 2003

For the second consecutive year, the Coordinating Committee For Automotive Repair (CCAR) has been selected by the Kansas Department of Health & Environment to receive its “Pollution Prevention Award of Excellence” for CCAR’s “S/P2” online training program.

CCAR is being recognized for its S/P2 online training in Safety and Pollution Prevention, which CCAR offers free of charge to automotive training programs at career/vocational schools and community colleges. More than 800 school programs and 54,000 students across

the country now have access to the S/P2 curriculum.

The Internet-based S/P2 training addresses the key safety and pollution prevention issues for professionals working in automotive service and collision repair. CCAR developed S/P2 training over a two-year period in concurrence with U.S. EPA and OSHA standards, which require that shop personnel be trained at least annually on safety and environmental regulations.

These standards also apply to automotive training programs, and – prior to the introduction of S/P2 – schools had no standardized way to provide such training for students. Students nationwide have taken more than 61,000 trainings on S/P2 since January of 2002.

CCAR is able to provide S/P2 to automotive training programs at no charge thanks in part to sponsorships from automotive industry, as well as proceeds from the sales of the training to automotive mechanical and collision repair shops.

“To be recognized a second time by the State of Kansas for our S/P2 efforts is a tremendous honor,” said Robert G. Stewart, President of CCAR. “CCAR is more committed than ever to taking the message of S/P2 to every automotive student in Kansas and across the country, and we welcome the opportunity to work with all sectors of the automotive industry in making this happen.”

S/P2 is also available to automotive service and collision repair operations for $ 299 per facility for an annual subscription, which trains all technicians and office staff. For more information on S/P2 online training, visit the http://www.sp2.org website or call toll-free at 1-888-772-3535.

Stewart will receive the award on behalf of CCAR on August 26 during the 2003 Kansas Environmental Conference in Wichita. In notifying CCAR of the award, the Kansas Department of Health & Environment commended CCAR’s “diligence in working to keep the Kansas environment clean and healthy.”

Established in 1994, CCAR is a national not-for-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the professionalism and image of automotive technicians. CCAR’s more than 200 affiliates represent all segments of the automotive service and collision repair industry, including vehicle manufacturers and dealers, national automotive chains and local repair shops, and colleges and universities that offer training in automotive service and collision repair.

CCAR also operates “CCAR-GreenLink®,” the national environmental compliance assistance center for the automotive industry, in cooperation with the U.S. Environ-mental Protection Agency [EPA]. “CCAR-GreenLink®” [http://www.ccar-greenlink.org/ is recognized globally as a leading source of environmental compliance and pollution prevention information for the automotive industry.

BetterBathrooms.com: Brits More Adventurous With Bathroom Design

BetterBathrooms.com: Brits More Adventurous With Bathroom Design

(Vocus/PRWEB) 31 March 2011

Brits’ bathroom design choices have been described as ‘more adventurous’ following the recession by two interior design insiders. The improving economic climate appears to have inspired British homeowners to think outside the box when it comes to decorating their bathroom, say BetterBathrooms.com.

Pete Robertshaw, chief news editor at Better Bathrooms says: “The recession was a tough time for everyone, especially home owners. At the same time, the DIY industry saw something of a boom time, as many homeowners opted to add to the value of their home via improvements. Now it appears that homeowners are now opting to go for more extravagant themes, colours and accessories when decorating their home following the recession.”

Some of the key trends and colour schemes show that people want to have more fun with their bathrooms and their homes in general, and with the Royal Wedding set to take place on April the 29th many colourful and patriotic designs have come back in fashion, with the Union Jack, bunting and designs featuring crowns and other royal memorabilia becoming a familiar sight in many home stores. Bright colours and patterns have also had a renaissance, with more people opting to go for what feels right, as opposed to the more subdued bathroom designs they see in magazines.

Robertshaw continues: “The Union Jack is a design that’s appeared over and over again in popular culture but it’s become more fashionable, and more importantly, affordable, in the wake of the marriage of Kate Middleton and Prince William, because so many people want to show their support for the Royal wedding. One theme that we at BetterBathrooms.com have noticed that keeps reappearing is that more people are opting to install more unusual and more living room like features in their bathroom, such as TVs, couches and even gas fireplaces, which is just extraordinary.”

Keep Warm This Winter on Red Air Quality Days by Burning Wood with EPA Wood Stoves from Home and Hearth Outfitters

Keep Warm This Winter on Red Air Quality Days by Burning Wood with EPA Wood Stoves from Home and Hearth Outfitters

EPA Approved Fireplaces in Denver and Vail

Denver, Colorado (Vocus) November 4, 2010

In Denver, winter days can be very trying on the air quality of the city. The main problem is in relation to unsafe levels of carbon monoxide (CO) and particulate matter (PM) in the air. In response to this, the Air Pollution Control Division (APCD) at the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) regularly issue EPA Red Days in an attempt to reduce pollution. However, many homeowners are not aware that the EPA-certified wood stoves available at Home and Hearth Outfitters do not readily contribute to the pollution problem and as such, are approved for use on these high risk Red Days. Home and Hearth Outfitters, with locations in Vail and Denver, announces to homeowners that there is a feasible solution to the dilemma of finding a reliable source of heat that doesn’t pollute the environment or break the bank.

EPA certified wood stoves at Home and Hearth Outfitters are more efficient and safe than ever and don’t require any compromises by the user. These stoves produce basically zero smoke, require less firewood than their traditional counterparts, and produce a minimum amount of ash for a safe, energy efficient fireplace option that is able to be used any day of the year regardless of the air quality. Traditional, older wood burning fireplaces emit 15 to 30 grams of smoke each hour; Home and Hearth Outfitters offers Denver wood burning stoves that are EPA approved units which emit only 2 to 7 grams of smoke per hour.

What exactly is an EPA wood stove? It is a wood stove or wood-heating appliance that passes rigorous testing in an EPA accredited laboratory for certain green emissions guidelines as specified by the EPA. These guidelines include maintaining emissions of a minimum of 7.5 grams per hour (for noncatalytic wood stoves) and 4.1 grams per hour (for catalytic wood stoves.) All wood stoves that claim to adhere to the New Source Performance Standard for New Residential Wood Heaters under the Clean Air Act must meet these guidelines. Thus, all wood burning appliance and stoves available from Home and Hearth Outfitters in Denver and Vail do indeed meet these guidelines and bear the certified EPA sticker on the back of the units.

“Folks are pleasantly surprised when they find out that they can burn wood on Red No Burn days. Especially when they realize how environmentally responsible it is.” says Pete Dines, owner of Home and Hearth Outfitters.

If you need an additional reason to purchase a Home and Hearth Outfitters Denver wood burning stove, consider the tax credit offered by the US government for owning an EPA-certified wood stove. Through December 31, 2010 Home and Hearth Outfitters is offering a $ 1500 tax credit (or 30%, whichever is less) toward the purchase of an EPA approved wood stove. These attractive tax credits from the purchase of green EPA wood stove units are an efficient way to save money and stay warm during cold Colorado winters.

About Home and Hearth Outfitters

Since 1992, Home and Hearth Outfitters has been providing Colorado with environmentally friendly yet fashionable fireplaces. In Vail and Denver fireplace inserts, grill pieces and much more are featured in expansive fireplace showrooms. Home and Hearth Outfitters strives to provide Coloradans with quality, innovative hearth and kitchen appliance products that create an elegant, cozy home setting that is also socially responsible.
